The Timmins Youth Wellness Hub (TYWH) is delighted to announce the receipt of a substantial financial contribution from Scotiabank and Dollar A Day Foundation. Over the next three years, Scotiabank has generously committed $35,000 per year, and Dollar A Day Foundation has generously committed $15,000 per year, for a total of $50,000 per year.

Co-created by youth, the Timmins Youth Wellness Hub was established in September 2018 to provide safe, inclusive, and welcoming spaces for all youth in Timmins aged 12-25 years old to access programs and services that support their well-being.

All services and supports offered by the Timmins Youth Wellness Hub are provided within an environment of social, recreational and well-being activities. Since March 2020, the TYWH has offered over 200 virtual activities for youth via Instagram and Zoom, as well as summer outdoor programming.

“I have had some wicked times here in Timmins over the years, sharing laughs and many songs on stage. Today, I couldn’t be more proud to meet with you all .. albeit virtually to share the change for mental health and addictions programs. You folks are doing the hardest work we know and I am humbled to play a small role in supporting this amazing cause.”  – Alan Doyle, Co-Founder, Dollar A Day Foundation

“Many people are suffering from mental health and addictions simply because they do not have the supports and treatments they need to get them back on the road to recovery. Our partnership with Scotiabank and Youth Wellness Hub here in Timmins, Ontario represents the holistic vision of Dollar A Day Foundation. Everyone gives the same…a dollar a day…and all those dollars make a lasting impact. Our corporate partners ensure that 100 cents of every dollar donated goes directly to proven programs on the frontlines of mental health and addictions care.” – Brendan Paddick, Co-Founder, Dollar A Day Foundation

“When we invest in youth, we invest in the future. The support from ScotiaBank and Dollar A Day Foundation for the Timmins Youth Wellness Hub is greatly appreciated. Their combined and enthusiastic generosity will allow the Hub to enhance its mission of being an open and welcoming environment for all youth.” – Brian Marks, Chair, Timmins Youth Wellness Hub.

“At Scotiabank, we believe it’s important that everyone can do more than simply recover from times of uncertainty, but instead rise from them stronger than before.
